Family History in Photos, Memories, and Documents: Join the Contest

05.03.2025

During Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukrainians are not only fighting for their lives but also risking the loss of their family histories. To preserve this invaluable heritage, Fundacja “Dobra Wola”, in collaboration with its partners, is launching the “History of My Big Family” contest as part of the “Public Archiving in Ukraine” project. The organizers invite everyone to share photographs, oral histories, and documents that capture important moments in their families’ lives.

The contest features three categories: “No One Loved Like This” (wedding photographs of family members), “My Relative’s Memories” (oral history testimonies), and “Family Heirloom” (documentary materials). Both adults and minors (with the support of guardians or mentors) are welcome to participate. The best entries will be published, and all participants will receive recognition.

Applications are open until March 31, 2025. To take part, fill out the Google form and submit your materials.
