The Ukrainian Oral History Association continues to actively contribute to the development of oral history research in Ukraine and about Ukraine. The Association co-organized the 1st All-Ukrainian Student History Conference “SpIlnoSTORIIA” 2024: “Dimensions of War: People, Territories, Identities,” which was organized by the National Center “Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.” At the conference, the prospects of oral history in student research activities, particularly among student-members of the Junior Academy, were discussed.
During the plenary session, Ihor Lyman, a member of the Association’s working group, delivered a report titled “The Potential of the Junior Academy in the Field of Oral History Research: Utilizing the Developments of the Ukrainian Oral History Association.” He also moderated the section “War and Peace: Global and Local Dimensions,” focusing on the thematic direction “Experience of War”: Oral History Research of Armed Conflicts.
