The collection features stories of internally displaced persons, based on interviews with residents of Vilcha, Vovchansk district, Kharkiv region, conducted as part of the Ukrainian-German project “Vilcha – A Displaced Village.” This work is the result of collaboration between Vilcha’s residents, who shared their experiences of resettlement from the Chernobyl exclusion zone or Donbas, and the project participants, who recorded these stories. Written in a vivid, authentic style and supplemented with photographs, these stories offer a deeply personal insight into displacement and adaptation.
